La Biennale di Venezia is the oldest, most high-profile and possibly the best contemporary art show in the world.  It is held in Venice, Italy every other year.  .

In Venice, Giardini  “The Garden” and Arsenale, “The Shipyards” are the sties for various national exhibits.   Some countries have their own pavillions.

This year, the 54th Art Biennale hosts a record 89 national participants.
